In the June edition of Cairns Life magazine, Girgenti Lawyers focus on the future.
One question any business leader should be asking themselves is “How will my business look in ten years’ time?”
Girgenti Lawyers is one of the businesses looking to the future and investing in the local legal leaders of the future. That’s because Girgenti Lawyers believes that by investing in local youth, they are able to grow the next generation of legal practitioners in Cairns.
Currently, the firm employs a spread of junior and up-and-coming practitioners, including Rachelle Parker who has been admitted as a solicitor for over two years and Dylan Carey who was admitted as a solicitor earlier this year, and Cara Olufson who is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws at James Cook University, who works as a legal secretary and paralegal at Girgenti Lawyers.
Rachelle Parker, primarily based in the Mareeba Office and Cairns by appointment, deals in the areas of Property and Commercial Law, Family Law and Wills and Estates.
Dylan Carey, primarily based in the Cairns Office, deals in areas of Litigation, Commercial Law and Insolvency Law.
Cara Olufson, who has always been enthralled by the precise and delicate nature of the family law area and has the dream of establishing herself as a successful family law practitioner within the family law team at Girgenti Lawyers.
“Across these three team members, we have the next generation of inspirational legal leaders for Cairns and the Far North Queensland region”, said Director Pietro Girgenti. “It is from their youth, extensive knowledge of evolving technology and media, and the currency of their knowledge, that we are able to design the way we will deliver legal services over the next 5 to 10 years.”
With three offices around Queensland in Cairns, Mareeba and Brisbane; Girgenti Lawyers is able to engage in a large variety of work across many aspects of law. Breaking down the walls of traditional practice, their Cairns and Mareeba solicitors are routinely able to work on matters originating from the firm’s Brisbane office. Thereby bringing enormous experience to the practice by working on and engaging with complex legal issues arising out of South East Queensland and servicing clients Australia wide and internationally.
“Our young professionals have grown in leaps and bounds by being able to incorporate this experience into their respective practices locally”, says Mr Girgenti on the experiences gained by his younger practitioners. “This inherently increases the standard and expertise of legal advice that is provided by our Firm to our local Far North Queensland clients.”
Pietro Girgenti, supervises and directs each of the practitioners within the firm and provides wholesome guidance and leadership to the firm generally. Pietro, being a young entrepreneur himself, understands and harnesses the value in investing in young dedicated solicitors who are willing to learn and take on challenges when and where they arise.
Girgenti Lawyers brings the next generation of solicitors to the forefront by drawing on what we can achieve as a state-wide organisation. By investing in these young leaders, we are harnessing and developing the potential of the future legal practitioners within the Far North Queensland area.
