Our Managing Director, Pietro Girgenti, was featured in the April 2016 edition of Cairns Life magazine.
The article explores the opinion of three prominent business leaders, on young entrepreneurs today.
In your opinion, what do you think is the biggest problem facing young entrepreneurs today, and how can they overcome it?
“Fitting a square peg into a round hole.
Truly, we live in an era where innovation is a key to entrepreneurial success.
Tipping the way we do things on its head, and delivering products and services in an entirely different way has been a catalyst for success for many young entrepreneurs the world over; cue Uber, Facebook and Airbnb.
But more and more, we see that our laws and regulations are struggling to keep pace and evolve to address the rapidly changing way of doing business.
These new business models simply do not fit into traditional moulds and the legal system is struggling to even classify new models and methods of product and service delivery.
The result? Entrepreneurs can find themselves in the mine field that is the “legal grey area” and deciphering the difference between what is unlawful, because regulation simply does not yet exist, and illegal, where it is specifically or implicitly banned, is no mean feat.
Young entrepreneurs should ensure that they engage and consult the right experts. They should seek out those who understand, and importantly listen to, their vision.
The right advice and guidance at the right time about your entrepreneurial vision and direction, can be the critical difference between revolution, and ruin.
